She was born in Livorno, a colorful, lively sea town that gave her the ability to shield any contamination. In the October of 2006 she was one of the contestants in Amici ( Friends). In the same year she signed her first contract and she recorded her first EP. Her powerful and significant voice paints the colors of jazz, soul with the shades of blues and even gospel. Despite her young age Karima has a dynamic and extended expertise. In 2009 she participated in the most popular Italian Music Contest ( Festival di Sanremo) and most of all she started working with Burt Bacharach. She is the only Italian singer for which Mr. Bacharach ever wrote some songs and produced her first album ( KARIMA) recorded in Los Angeles . Still within the same year she was selected by Disney to take part in the recording of the soundtrack for the movie “the princess and the frog” , she was the opening act for Whitney Houston and Johnny Legend and she also participated to many Italian National TV shows among which “Tale e Quale” and “I migliori Anni” on the prime Italian Channel RAI 1. With Umbria Jazz she represents her country in all the international music showcases and exhibitions. In 2017 she is Rachel, the main character of “Run to you” the musical version of the movie the bodyguard featuring Whitney Houston.
