Hi, I'm Lindsay Imber (new music via link!). You probably notice that's *not* what my artist name is. We'll get to that. I am a professional sports organist and have played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Loyola Marymount Baseball, and Anaheim Ducks. I originally got the Ducks job based on YouTube videos I posted in which I played a keyboard at home with organ tones, in the style of a sports organ. Then at some point I saw another "artist" had effectively stolen my music by processing the audio of my YouTube videos and selling them as their own on various music platforms, including Spotify, so I decided I might as well release some of my music on my own terms. That's the thing about the music industry, not only is it a tremendously uphill battle to try and get administrators to pay attention to the very real issue of fake artists stealing real artists' material, the artist naming convention is woefully archaic: changing an artist's name requires a complete takedown and resubmission of their entire catalogue, no matter the reason and regardless of any court orders or other documentation. So rather than take down my material from a number of years ago, I, Lindsay Imber, have my music under my deadname, one I don't use anymore.
