Justin Smith, AKA Proficient Prophet, is an Illinois born artist who creates multiple subgenres of rap, including; old school, trap, trap metal, lo-fi, and emo trap. Growing up in Illinois, then being moved to North Carolina until he was 16, Prophet encountered many trials and tribulations in his life, which is expressed throughout all of his discography. His first mixtape released in 2016, titled "The Lost Projects" helped him mold his craft into his own and begin local success.
