Biography

Czechoslovakia is a Norwegian electronica band formed in 2004 by producer/guitarist Edvard Brygfjeld and singer/songwriter Tore Meberg. The two of them first collaborated on the first release of Meberg's band, The Love Revolt, on which Brygfjeld was the producer. Afterwards they continued their collaboration with a separate project which evolved into Czechoslovakia. In time, producer and multi instrumentalist HÃ¥vard Rosenberg became an associated member of the group, producing several of Czechoslovakia's tracks. Their debut album, Moods We Used To Make, was released in 2010. It consisted exclusively of the band's own compositions. The single Beirut followed suit. In 2011 their second album, Subtle Standards, was released, made up of contemporary versions of songs mainly from The Great American Songbook. And in 2012 Czechoslovakia released an EP of French pop songs from the 60s and 70s.
