Illinois native, BBYJOE, is a rapper and songwriter active in the Chicago music scene. The young artist first gained a love of music as a child after watching 8 Mile, the semi-autobiographical film influenced by the real life story of the rap legend Eminem. After seeing the movie for the first time, BBYJOE began memorizing Eminem’s lyrics, reciting them repeatedly until later graduating into writing lyrics of his own.
