Kristofer Krydda Sundström born 1981. Swedish bass player living i Stockholm. Central in Kryddas music/musicianship is a strong and intricate rhythmic foundation, melodic lines and a spontaneous expression. Exploring the balance between carefully composed and totally improvised elements is the essence of his works. Krydda grew up in church being engraved with hymns and choral music alongside his classical training on trombone. At age 11 Krydda found the electric bass and started to explore jazz, folk and world music during his teenage years. After collage he studied and got his bachelor in jazz at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. Since then he has been a sought after musician both for recording session and live performances. In 2021 he won a Swedish Grammy as part of the internationally acknowledged folk group "Lena Jonsson Trio".
