Nametag got involved in Detroit's Hip Hop history early, and in a major way. His first placement was on two out of three "Dirty District compilations from Slum Village and former production crew, B.R. Gunna. From there, he continued to land appearances on international stamps such as Black Milk's "Sound Of The City", and "Popular Demand" just to name a couple. However, while contributing to the projects of others, Tag continued to build his own footing with great deal of his own crafted mixtapes, EPs, and full length albums. He has earned the respect of indie rap heavyweights, and has managed to develop a career in sync licensing, having his music placed in tv, film, etc. Aside of recording music, he’s also host of both podcasts “A Nametag Is Necessary” and “Marvel Of The Minds”.
