Biography

POCKiT originating from South Florida, crafts its distinctive sound by merging high-energy funk-jazz-infused grooves, blues, rock & gospel improvisations to fashion a diverse and eclectic musical tapestry. The band consists of four members - Moises Linares, Charles Gardner, and Joshua Walton - who each bring vital cultural and sonic perspectives to the group. They blend their musical backgrounds into their sound, creating something that is wholly their own. POCKiT has released three singles with, Jason Spencer, the Fort Lauderdale bassist and two tracks with Electric Kif’s bassist/guitarist, Digo. “Hialeah Traffic,” was born from Gardner’s experience driving in the heavy traffic of the titular Miami suburb. In 2022, they released "Versa," a song infused with an infectious groove and cinematic synthesizer elements from start to finish. The same year, they unveiled "Bolsillo," featuring Bob Smiley of Fusik on the saxophone and Andrew Amengor of Burgundee on the trumpet. During the Summer of 2022, the band completed its first trip outside the U.S. (POCKiT - Live in Mexico) and a 12-min documentary movie was filmed and recorded recapping their experience on their first international tour. In 2024, POCKiT released their highly anticipated first full-length album “En Camino”. The album features a blend of up-and-coming and experienced award-winning musicians including ITAWE of Locos Por Juana, Jota Freire co-founder of Bacilos from U.S. and Fat Mojo from Mexico.
