Biography

One of metal’s unsung underground warriors, Adams first started fusing punk with hard rock in the Fury, whose career stretched over four years and three line-ups. Previous band members included Rick Rubin (producer), Mike Nach (Wicked Maraya) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater). Recording credits also add Raven, Manowar, Pro-Pain, Type O Negative and Coroner to his list of achievements. Turning solo, Adams took pains to emphasize to the press his determination to enlist musicians interested in carving their own musical niche, rather than reinterpreting prevalent trends. To this effect, he eventually found ‘Big Bad Bill’ Janusz (bass) and Rocky D (drums, ex-Fury) to back his guitar and potent vocals. However, this line-up only gelled after the release of his debut album, Exiled On Green Street, which saw him accompanied solely by a four-track and a DAT machine. The new group toured the east coast of the USA before securing a contract with Rock The Nation Records. In the summer of 1994 they recorded, then re-recorded, the album Redemption, and included in the process a mail-order-only CD that featured studio out-takes and live versions.
