Tuomas Norvio is a Helsinki-based sound designer, producer and artist with an extensive background in electronic music. He works across various artforms and genres, designing sound and music for both performances and installations. His musical soundscapes explore rhythmical and arrhythmical masses of sound, using acoustic, concrete and digital sounds and samples, as well as incorporating visuals and simple coding. Tuomas Norvio is currently active with the duo project Hildá Länsman & Tuomas Norvio, with their debut album scheduled for release in early 2025 through the Sámi record label Fierran. Norvio has made sound and music for contemporary dance and circus, installations, documentary films and different artists. He has amassed a long list of musical collaborations throughout the years, working with names like Kimmo Pohjonen, Pohjonen Alanko, Tapani Rinne, Wimme Saari, defunensemble, Pekka Kuusisto, Circo Aereo, Johanna Nuutinen and Tero Saarinen Company.
