ORYZA is a solo project of Aashna Oriza Kamboj, a budding musician from a small town in Haryana. Her taste in music traces back to her father who is an electronic music enthusiast, and her appetite for futuristic games and movies, since she was a toddler. Her productions display synergies with griminess, dysfunctional society tings, technology with steampunk-y aesthetic, breaking the commercially accepted norms of dance music. Through her sets, she takes people on a dark groovy journey of beautiful Synth work, ethereal backdrops and brooding basslines. She has released music on reputed labels like Techgnosis Records, AlpaKa MuziK and Soupherb Records. In the summer of 2022, she announced the arrival of a promising new talent internationally, as she sauntered to headline Groove and bass Festival in Canada, alongside prominent names like KHAINZ, D-NOX, JACIDOREX, TIM TASTE, CARBON, LAMPE, LEWIS., GAGA, MATEO, XOMPAX and many more. Her recent EP Vertigo, on Techgnosis Records hit the Minimal/DeepTech Beatport charts straight at #48 and #77 on Progressive House.
