Although I make my living as a screenwriter, I have been playing music and writing songs since I was 12. Over the past number of years, I have gone to Ocean Way Studios in Nashville every August. There, under the stellar guidance of producer Donny Marrow (a dear pal from way back) and musical director Kevin Madill (a dear pal of more recent vintage), along with a core group of the city's breathtakingly brilliant musicians, I have been recording songs from my catalogue. Many are quite old, a few are brand new. I will be releasing these songs through Donny and Carla Marrow's DiskEyes over the coming months. Our inaugural drop, BAGHDAD ON THE HUDSON, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Included with it are an instrumental version and a cover of Paul Simon's deep track THELMA.
