Amapiano producer Caswell Mandlazi (born January 24, 2000), known professionally as Platinum Boi, is a South African producer and Dj known for incorporating the Amapiano House music with his powerful sounds. He first learned how to play the piano without formal lessons. caswell has spoken about learning the piano, sax, and various drum machines.caswell adopted the name Platinum Boi after selling a platinum milestone on the song tittled ( Asambeni) featuring konke De hu before he was named Deep CK. caswell mandlazi attended Erasmus monareng High School (Vosloorus) and The school of music Drums. In 2020, Caswell released the collaborative extended play, The Deep City EP which was distributed by House afrika records, which he had the likes of international musicians Dj Strat3gy ,Tim White and with Caswell grew up in a room with studio equipment and simultaneously having friends giving him hard hitting sounds of Amapiano House music when the genre was still on an infant level .
