Poster Boy, personally known as Andy, grew up in a small town in Central Washington. Sandwiched between three musical sisters, he grew up singing and playing instruments from a young age. At the age of 6, he decided on the spot that he was going to become a song man after hearing Def Leppard's 1987 record "Hysteria" for the first time in his dad's Chrysler Sundance. In high school, he began writing music of his own, and in college, he recorded, produced, and released some of it under his given name. After a brief hiatus from the art form, he returned in 2022 as Poster Boy. With an entirely new sound, aesthetic, and vision, Poster Boy started releasing singles that gained the attention of independent blogs and labels such as A1234, Ones To Watch, Cage Riot, and Early Rising. His new album, "Underdog," was released on June 30th, 2023, and delves into genres and sounds like few others. Drawing inspiration from artists like Ryan Beatty, The 1975, Justin Vernon, BROCKHAMPTON, and, of course, Def Leppard, Poster Boy has put his own twist on music, creating something truly unique and inspiring. Andy also creates various forms of visual art under the same alias, Poster Boy, and enjoys hobbies such as surfing, climbing, reading, and cooking.
