‘Emo brilliance’ - Alex Baker, Kerang! Radio (UK) ‘Beautiful and sincere’ - The Guardian (AU) ‘Cuts right to the soul’ - Rock Sound (UK) ‘As genuine as they come’ - Declan Byrne, triple j (AU) Fresh from releasing a trio of standout singles that saw them conquer their debut headline shows in February, including a sold-out hometown performance, Waxflower signed on with European label Rude Records (Saves The Day, Gideon, Blood Youth, Sleep On It) in 2020. Their debut label release 'Sixteen Floors’ clocked up support from international heavyweights Kerrang! and Rock Sound, as well as being named the ‘Next Big Thing’ by HMV. Waxflower have grown an impressive resume of supports for such a young band, having toured and shared stages with the likes of Simple Plan, The Dangerous Summer, The Maine, Stand Atlantic, Between You & Me & more. Whilst the band have halted touring plans, they jumped back into the studio with Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, The Dead Love) mid-year to polish off what will be come their debut EP. The highly anticipated 'We Might Be Alright' EP will be out April 16th. Taking reference from 2000’s legends Kisschasy & Jimmy Eat World, Waxflower merge nostalgia with progressive melodies and catchy hooks to bring a genuine and unique perspective on alternative rock.
