crwn is the electronic music project of acclaimed Filipino producer, songwriter, and artist King Puentespina. Known for his keen sense of style and detail, crwn continues to push the envelope for producer-driven music with his wide-ranging instincts and unique blend of hip-hop, lo-fi, jazz, experimental, classic soul, avant-garde, and club genres. Since 2013, crwn has since then collaborated with numerous artists locally and internationally, most notably, his joint EP, How I Love with R&B star Jess Connelly. He has also solidified his portfolio with diverse and eclectic production work for some of the biggest Philippine music acts like Nadine Lustre, LONER, Clara Benin, Jason Dhakal and more. Released with critical acclaim, he has also dropped Orchid, a beat tape, which Purveyr described as a “bold showcase of his openness towards more experimental pursuits.” He later on collaborated with neo-soul chanteuse August Wahh on the collab EP, Labyrinth. To date, crwn has played at major international music festivals such as Malasimbo, Wanderland, and Wonderfruit Festival and some shows in NYC, Tokyo, and Singapore. He has also headlined a show with RAC for Karpos Live and has been featured in numerous publications. Séance, his debut album, is a dance music-centric album that boasts an impressive roster of 10 familiar and new collaborators, building worlds and stories at a comfortable pace. crwn will be touring Asia in the latter part of the year to promote Séance.
