Born in Brooklyn & raised in Long Island, MeccaGodZilla is a music producer, MC & visual artist. The Japan Times says he's got “...a style that brings to mind the likes of RZA & MF DOOM.” His journey began in NYC’s underground, co-founding the nonprofit Hip-Hop union G.A.ME (Grassroots Artists MovEment) w/ Omowale Adewale, m1 of dead prez, & Immortal Technique. G.A.ME provided free healthcare for indie rap artists. MeccaGodZilla's 1st production work was on Rodan’s "Theophany: The Book of Elevations," also marking his graphic design debut w/ graffiti legend KEO. He joined Monsta Island Czars from 2003 to 2008, producing Kong's solo album "Shackles Off," doing graphic design for Megalon's "A Penny For Your Thoughts," & performing shows w/ Spiega, Kong, Raylong, MF Mez, Majesty, Junclassic, & Monsta X. MeccaGodZilla gained recognition in Black Enterprise for succeeding in his Kickstarter campaign for the Street Fighter "Hip-Hopera" album "PERFECT 天." He's worked w/ NIKE, Capcom, Spike, Universal Japan, Warner Japan, A|X Japan, Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill, Mega Ran, Sean Price, COMA-CHI, budamunky & more. In 2008, his "American Monsta: the Jay-Z American Gangster Remix" album received over 1 million downloads on Mininova. In 2018, MeccaGodZilla was named an official United States Cultural Ambassador for Hip-Hop via Next Level USA, promoting cross-cultural exchange & artist development worldwide. He currently releases music through MANAFEST VISION & mentors artists globally.
