Biography

Bobby Chance originally hails from Bay City, Michigan. However, due to a nomadic and blue collar upbringing, Bobby found himself exposed to different types of people and music. Such as jazz, bluegrass, classical, and anything else that kept time and rhythm. This is evident in his first studio released album 'Michigan Me', which he executive produced himself. The bulk of Bobby's subject matter would contain the perspective of one that is truly blue collar. Bobby won the Top Prize for Best Original Song in the Nation by the American Federation of Musicians with his his first major single; "6-10s" recorded out of Studio 47 in Los Angeles, CA. Bobby's sheel metal coworkers sponsored the trip to California for Bobby and his engineer, Charles Conley to record. The subsequent release of "6-10s" would open the door for Bobby to start working with artists in other genres, ie Randy Badour and Victor King, other local country singers/rappers which resulted in hits like "Never Stops", a poignant record that addresses all of the mass shootings in the US. Randy invited Bobby to preform the track twice to a sold out crowd while opening for Ryan Upchurch. Whether he's rapping about acting on the intense rage that comes with the loss of a murdered loved one in "2 Shots: A Drankin Song", or exploring the exceptional love a parent has for their special needs child in "Be Your Voice", produced by Anthony Jiles; or just having a good time together on "Boondock Party".
