Biography

Guided by the mentorship of Grammy Award-winning DJ Head, emerging from the hip-hop landscape of Detroit, Valid stands as a formidable emcee. Following the 2019 release of his acclaimed album Mihajlo, Valid poured his soul into The Plum Brandy EP. Maintaining this prominent presence on stage, Valid consistently delivers fresh and impactful music, establishing collabs with esteemed artists such as Apollo Brown, Elzhi, Illa J, Boldy James, and Skyzoo, among others. The next chapter in Valid's expansion was an alliance with another Detroit native: the legendary Stretch Money, joining forces to form Bill & Isiah. Together they scored an esteemed album that led them not only to local attention but widespread recognition, charting on college radio stations across the US and Canada. Adding to their already impressive resumes, "Bill & Isiah" had a memorable freestyle session on Eminem's Shade45/SiriusXM, which became a pivotal moment for the hip-hop scene, energizing the city of Detroit. This recognition extended as they captivated live audiences along with iconic artists such as Xzibit, Tha Dogg Pound, and 8Ball & MJG, showcasing their dynamic versatility and influence--culminating in the celebration of an unforgettable release party, marking a significant milestone for their careers. Through his joint venture with Stretch Money, building on his strong solo work and pride for Detroit, Valid's reputation on the hip-hop scene has solidified, but there's still so much more to come.
