Shank Mr. 16 Bars is an up-and-coming rap artist from Foley, AL. His rap style was influenced by his southern roots as well as rappers from the South, such as Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Boosie, and Webbie. Other influences include Future, Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar to name a few. Shank's music career started at the tender age of 13, when he first began rapping. He recorded his first single, "Sizzling" at the age of 14 in a local studio. Shank has recorded 1 album and 15 mixtapes, with the most recent mixtape being hosted by one of Alabama's top known djs, DJ Rodski. Shank has performed at many venues along the Gulf Coast, including MS and FL, and has traveled to GA as well. He has worked with big name artists, such as Big Dawg C-loc, C-Nile, and Da Hawg and has also worked with local artists, including Big Hop, Luck, Boonie, DH, Major, Spudd, and Statts. Currently, Shank is still writing and recording music and just released his latest mixtape, "In Due Time", with features from Lil Spudd, Boonie, Ace Boogy and more. He is also preparing for the release of his next album, "Bearilla, The Album" as well as upcoming shows in the new year.
