The Swedish Avant-garde, AntiPop Artist & Producer Donnie Castle, based in Gothenburg, introduced himself as one to watch with his single trilogy, including the widely acclaimed single Oooh, in the spring of 2017. The singles received widespread attention around the world, got radio plays on national radio in Sweden and Germany and was supported by Fresh Finds and none other than the artist Flume. With his debut album entitled "Donnie", he enlisted the help from American rappers OG Maco, Rome Fortune and dopeSMOOTHIES, as well as some Scandinavian talents like Icelandic newcomer dady. "Donnie" was released via Something Beautiful in February 2018. In 2020, Donnie Castle released his most transcendent work so far. On his sophomore album "Donnie II" he enlisted interesting guests such as Insidiox (Dream drop), young Sheffield rapper Kidd Jinxed and his long time collaborator, Swedish producer Nørd. We also see Donnie take the leap and develop his own vocal efforts. His second album of the year, "All My Names" showcases alot of different genres like cloud rap, hard core, house and bedroom pop, all tied together with Donnie’s signature lo-fi electronica. 2020 "All My Names" is out now via Swedish boutique label Something beautiful.
