For more than fifty years, Don Potter’s musical and life journey has taken him through a myriad of nightclubs, concert stages, studios, and churches as an artist himself, bandleader, and guitarist for others. Well known for his guitar playing, Don remains a talented singer and writer as well as producer and sound engineer. He has found great fulfillment these past years in teaching and mentoring young musicians and writers. Many times in his lengthy career, Don has had the honor of being a participant in the creative synergy that birthed an entirely new Sound. His early musical experiences in Rochester imprinted his heart with a Sound. Friends and Love with Chuck Mangione was one such synergistic landmark in his life as well as the years spent partnering with Bat McGrath. Don’s intuitive gifting and his experiences with sound and its power through music to change lives continues to be a driving creative force in his life today.
