In 15 years active, O Sister! has released 6 albums. Rooted in the sounds of New Orleans Swing and Trad Jazz, this sextet based in Seville, Spain, has developed a rich repertoire of original compositions in a special style of its own. O Sister! pours this musical memory into a commitment to the present, mixing jazz tradition with other influences in their sound, open to the diverse global context of these new 20s. As a close-harmony vocal trio, O Sister! has delved into the Golden Age of Swing since 2008 with two main premises: providing new original arrangements and bringing to light overlooked key female artists, like the Boswell Sisters. Their first 3 albums (Crazy People, 2009 Shout, Sister! 2012; Spooky Sessions 2014) convey this spirit Their 4th LP (Stompin' in Joy, 2016) was new in their evolution, adding original compositions distilling all those influences. Their latest 2 albums, (Nobody Cares 2020; Brand New Day 2024) have consolidated their creative maturity and style diversity, derived from a journey shared in the studio, but also onstage, where their music is ever enriched with new emotions.
