There, in the recesses of illegal raves and dimly lit clubs, his love for house music was born. Kamino’s sound grew from these experiences, and further developed once he relocated to new cities steeped in electronic music culture. From Berlin to LA, London to New York, the now NYC resident has found his home among the sprawling warehouses of Bushwick. A release on John Summit’s imprint Experts Only, as well as records on Repopulate Mars, Solotoko, Armada Subjekt and Insomniac, started to draw attention to his sound, leading to a slew of appearances at festivals and clubs across the US. His 2023 was topped off by the massive ‘Lower Frequency’, which amassed a huge amount of DJ and tastemaker support. It led to his eventual discovery and signing by Casablanca/Republic, landing him his first major label deal, with hotly anticipated releases dropping throughout 2024.
