KEY debuted as a member of the contemporary band SHINee in 2008. SHINee has continuously set records as a global K-pop leader with their outstanding singing, performance, and trendy music style bringing a new wave to K-pop with their unique, unprecedented genre of music that earned them the title “Princes of K-pop”. KEY successfully debuted as a solo artist in November 2018 with his 1st LP ‘FACE’, which reached No. 9 on Billboard’s World Albums chart after release. In September 2021 following the completion of his military service, KEY released his 1st EP ‘BAD LOVE’, which hit No. 1 on Korean music charts as well as iTunes Top Albums chart in 32 different regions around the world. In addition to being a talented vocalist, KEY has also demonstrated his skills in songwriting by taking part in writing lyrics for ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘Eighteen (End Of My World)’ on the ‘BAD LOVE’ EP. KEY has actively participated in the overall production of the album from its concept and visual arts to music production, choreography and styling, showcasing his identity as an all-around artist with a personal style that’s uniquely his own.
