‘Broj’ consists of two like-minded, longtime friends from Amsterdam. Casper Jansen and Benjamin Brommer came together in 2016 to create music that allowed them to express themselves creatively and emotionally. They developed a deep-rooted interest in the art of producing electronic music when they converged paths with their mutual interest in house music by the vibrant club scene in Amsterdam, London, and Berlin. Their sound can be described as a fusion between deep house and electronica as they like to source organic elements from multiple genres; shaping their sound to what it is today. Exactly one year after Broj came together, their self-released EP ‘Origins’, was published digitally. This EP embarked on the duo's creative ambition to be uniquely expressive. The follow-up to their debut came in the shape of the EP ‘Echoes’, which was released in 2018. In 2019, two new singles saw the light of day. ‘Solitude’, a dark, deep house track fitting for the winter season, and indie-influenced ‘Northbound’, the duo’s first vocal track featuring Scottish artist The Woods. All of these projects have paved the way for their latest EP called ‘Daydream’, released in 2020 on the Miami-based Minds Alike Records. Determined to continue working on new material as well as bringing their music into the nightlife, Broj is set to make waves in the near future, as their musical endeavor has just begun.
