Swerte, is a Rapper, Sound Engineer and Music Producer born and raised in Indonesia. Now based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, he is a founding member of the hip-hop collective, The Recipe, with whom he has released numerous projects as well as their 2017 chart topping album, Funerals & Purgatory. Since 2020, Swerte has been signed to Bali based record label, Everyday Indo, and has released various singles such as, Esso, That Just The Thing, Ballin in Bali and Bungkus Dat. In 2022, Swerte went on a 5 city tour across Java and Bali called "The Ballin Tour" promoting his latest 2 releases. Besides his work with The Recipe and as a solo artist, Swerte has been pivotal in shaping the music industry in the Gulf region through his writing camps, artist mentorships and pioneering the independent label movement through his street style marketing tactics. He has also done work as a sound designer for various big brands such as Dodge, PUBG, Mcdonalds, Nissan and Dubai Tourism as well as being the Head Sound Engineer for Dubai Media Incorporated since 2006. In late 2023, Swerte worked as a sound engineer on Ye and Ty Dolla Sign's album, Vultures, during their stay in Dubai.
