Philia, the music project by Dan Giffin (relocated to Denver, CO) is a bass/ funk artist and multi-instrumentalist. Philia is known to record fun samples such as his dog and geese, and morph them smoothly into songs. In 2013, Dan moved from Ohio to NYC to study music technology, eventually becoming 1 of 350 Ableton Certified Trainers in the world. Over the years he began teaching his skills to surrounding artists, which eventually landed him opportunities in the studio and on stage with artists like Mac Miller, Tiësto, Daily Bread, Maddy O'Neal, The Band Perry, among others. Dan also hosts the popular Ableton Music Producer Podcast where he interviews today's leaders in music tech as well as Platinum/ Grammy artists.
