Emajamaa are Tabea Hörsch on cello, Fernando Lyra on handpan, Rav Vast and sansula, and Christian Maurer on prepared percussion. New technical and tonal possibilities are explored in this unusual line-up and combined with influences from Scandinavian jazz, minimal music, classical music and folk to create their very own language. In their original compositions, the sounds of cello, handpan and drums interweave to create a captivating performance that allows the audience to travel through inner landscapes, sometimes in a dreamy, sometimes in a dance-like manner.
