American post-classical composer Kenneth Lampl’s music stems from a deep love of the classical orchestra and modern ambient sound design. His musical journey began as a jazz saxophonist with the Chico Hamilton Quintet and as his interest in classical composition grew he continued his studies at the Juilliard School receiving a doctoral degree. After Juilliard he began a career as a concert composer with performances by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony and the Kansas-City Symphony. While a composer fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival he had the opportunity to study with John Williams who opened his eyes to the world of film scoring. His first feature film scores were for Pokémon: The First Movie and Pokémon: Mewtwo Returns. Since that time, he has scored over 90 films including: Frontera (starring Ed Harris and Eva Longoria), 35 & Ticking (starring Kevin Hart) and most recently the Australian Sci- Fi film 2067. The 2067 soundtrack was released on Sony/Milan Records and is rated as “one of the best film scores of 2020” by the Film Music Institute. In 2015 Lampl had the opportunity to collaborate with Evanescence on her Synthesis tour providing orchestral arrangements and in 2018 he composed orchestra arrangements for the Foreigner and the 21st Century Symphony and Chorus album which hit #1 on Billboard Classical for 8 weeks. In 2021 came the first release of his solo works A Fallen Tear and Far Ahead of the Road on nEscapes Records.
