Bananasoverdose is a Saudi Arabian-Ethiopian-Somali MC, singer, rapper, and songwriter, and a producer who uses her music and brand to enforce radical thinking. She grew up in Saudi Arabia. Active since 2019, BOD is known for being a polyglot with her bold lyrics, vocal range, playfulness, and emotive, honest delivery. The body-positive artist is often compared to M.I.A. and Doja Cat. BOD has performed at the Bi Pride UK festival, Beneath the Baobabs festival, and Pizza and Wine Festival. She's opened for international artists like Burna Boy and Omah Lay. She wishes to collaborate with more artists globally. In 2023, she was featured on an album by the Grammy winner Fancy Fingers. In 2024 she’s released her debut EP ‘HARAMBAE’ which is an experimental Somali electronic futuristic project about pan Africanism and self love.
