Pyrit’s Totentanz is a dissonant singspiel, an imaginative opera, grotesque and macabre: A Requiem for this world. The melodies echo in the abyss; the drums tempt immersion into the body. Like a tunnel, they lead into the depths of existence and beat the inner outward. These are songs about chaos, endless insomnia, the struggle with depression, vanishing, and the eternal game with non-being; stretching the limits of endurance and constantly circling, floating, and falling - oscillating until it tears.
