Rubén Morán is at this moment one of the great references of electronic music performed live on the dance floor. Beyond his performances around the world, his expertise as a producer and his virtuosity as a saxophonist (in addition to piano, computer and guitar) have catapulted him to the select group of producers and composers who have managed to place in the top charts of the dance universe tracks intelligently loaded with quality and commerciality. His degree in Production and Composition from Berklee College of Music (Boston), the jewel in the crown of musical education, deserves special mention; or his opening act for BB King, Joe Cocker, Gary Moore and Maceo Parker with his own funk band, The Funk on Me, which, by the way, has just produced and composed its two albums in New York with collaborations such as Kat Dyson (Prince) on guitar, Fred Wesley (James Brown, Funkadelic, JB Horns) on trombone and Daryl Jones (Miles Davis, Sting, The Rolling Stones) on bass. Mention should also be made of their participation in renowned festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, BB King Blues Festival or the Jazz Festivals of San Sebastian, Valencia or Jaén.
