Biography

“The transparent clarity of her playing reminds that Chopin loved and admired Bach.” (Klassik Heute to the CD Harmony) In addition to her solo performances and chamber music concerts worldwide, Mayuko has played as a soloist with various orchestras. Such as the Orchestra for the Mecklenburg Chamber-Soloists Germany, the Vorpommern Philharmonic Orchestra Germany, the Kalisz Symphony Orchestra in Poland and the Munakata Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan. She was also a guest performer in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern festivals. The Darmstädter Echo emphasized her "crystal-clear touch". The music magazine "klassik.com" was fascinated by her “solid finger technique,” and the "intensive, subtle variety” of her playing. She has held a teaching position at the Rostock University of Music, and has been the Jury President at the International Music Arts Piano Concours Fukuoka in Japan since 2015. In 2013, she released a CD called “Romantic Works for Flute and Piano”, with the Genuin label. The following CD “Waltzes”, composed by Kerim König, in 2015. In 2019, Mayuko Miyata released her first solo album “Harmony- Piano Works by Frédéric Chopin”. The Release-Concerts for the CD "Harmony" have taken place among others in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and in the Konzerthaus Berlin with the support of Cellist- François Thirault. He was a member of the Karajan-Akademie of the Berliner Philharmonic and solo-cellist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Mayuko currently lives in Berlin.
