Native 97 (Marijn Jansen) is a Dutch House DJ producer from Utrecht. At the age of 11 he bought his first turntable and started experimenting with styles such as Trance, Techno, Electronic and House. Artists and bands such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy and Orbital were listened to a lot by the 11-year-old Native 97. Gradually, the preference and interest in House, Minimal and Melodic Techno started to grow more and more. This made artists like Julien Jabre, Kerri Chandler and Stimming stand out. In 2019 Native 97 started as an all-round DJ in Utrecht and Amsterdam. He gained a lot of experience in playing different music styles. He also tested his own unreleased tracks on the dance floor, to see how his music was appreciated by the public. His days consisted of making music and his nights playing in front of audiences in clubs. After the release of To The Deep, the DJ producer started experimenting in Melodic Techno and House music. He discovered that the love for this style from the past had never faded and was growing even more. The music Native 97 is making today is House and Melodic Techno with a ‘mysterious vibe’, as he describes it himself. “I like it when people can listen to my music several times and discover new elements over and over again”. After this statement, Native 97 reveals that he has made many unreleased tracks, especially in a productive Corona year, and collaborations with great artists. “The best has yet to come!
