Michiel Eduard is a singer- songwriter and producer of Dutch and Indonesian decent. As an International club DJ using the name DJ Mikey, Michiel moved to Bali in 2001. Early 2003 Michiel was signed by Broadcast Design Indonesia in Jakarta. In 2004 Michiel left.His first published production took place in 2005 together the Dutch Indonesian rapper Djaga on a special music project by Indo's (Dutch Indonesian mix bloods). The released CD was called The Morning Shapes The Night. A HipHop project with English lyrics but with Asian music elements. In the year 2016 Michiel worked on the album of Boogie Band from Surabaya. The hit single Superman by Boogie Band featuring DJ Mikey reached the 1st place on the hit chart of Surabaya.Michiel Eduard worked on his first solo release together with Abdee Negara and Ivanka from the Indonesian rock band Slank. The song "Laki Laki Paling Gila" was released in 2010. The following song Jalan Setapak was released in 2013. The video clip reached the 1st place on Bali TV.Together with rock legend Hengky Supit another single was launched in 2015. "Buktikanlah" was their first collaboration. The soundtrack "Kau Telah Pergi" for the movie Rompis was released in 2018.In 2019 Michiel wrote the song "Bersamamu", dedicated to the IndoRock. “Ku Ingin Kau” together with Once Mekel was released in 2022, just like “Surabayaku” with Wieteke van Dort and “Baliku” with Lonny Gerungan. Also “Mama” and “Zoals het is” were released the year 2022.
