Captivate is a producer and DJ based on ancestral Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh lands, pushing bass-forward sounds with deep roots in the past. Elements of 90s UK rave music, Jamaican soundsystem culture and ambient are all prevalent in his releases, and in recent years he has been exploring the territory where bass intersects with techno. Now a familiar name across Canada, he has had the honour of performing at BC’s renowned Bass Coast & Shambhala music festivals, as well as countless headlining and supporting sets at clubs & festivals across North America. He is a core member of Mystic State’s Chikara Project imprint, and his productions frequently appear in DJ sets from the likes Om Unit, Doctor Jeep, Mat the Alien and J:Kenzo.
