Ian S. McIntosh (A.K.A. Psyköhead) is a music producer from Northeast Scotland. The music is built on the fascination and love for the synth sounds of the 1970s & 80s. The music combines classic synthesizer melodies and improvisations of the end of the ’70s and early ’80s with new wave sounds (that originated from punk rock), using specific sounds of drums, and filters to resemble the ’80s style. Inspiration also comes from nu-disco, house, electro, and other music genres. Ever since he made a house music track back in the 1980s using a toy keyboard, an alarm clock and a tape recorder with the erase head taped over, he has been hooked on recording and producing electronic music.
