In August of 2015, five high schoolers from Dumont, New Jersey formed together to become White Lotus. They are Enrico “Gabe” Cruz (lead vocals), Kyle Villareal (guitar/keys), Brendan Drury (guitar), Luigi Magno (bass/keys), and Georell Magno (drums/keys). The group has been friends for years before discovering a shared passion for music. They started off jamming and covering some of their favorite songs and bands in school talent shows, town and church events, fundraisers, and more. After about a year, they began to create original music with the goal of making a full length debut album. The completed project was released in June 2017 and would be self-titled as White Lotus. The album flows through multiple genres and moods, from the fun summery feel of “Leap of Faith,” to the punk headbanger “Daylight,” and to the melodic ballad “Always.” With these twelve tracks, listeners will hear the stories, experiences, and dreams of the five aspiring musicians. White Lotus’ sole goal is to share their experiences with the world and create music that inspires people as much as it does themselves.
