Situated in Copenhagen Denmark, Bjonko has been the front figure on the Nordic Balkan scene for more then two decades. He is officially honored as an UNESCO artist, due to his musical work for peace and prosperity in Ex-Yugoslavia. He has performed on several big venues and festivals, and the unique show has fascinated fans and critics around the globe. In 2014 he was nominated for 2 Danish Music Awards in 2 categories; Best World Album and Best World Composer. In 2015 he received an award at the annual Danish Music Awards for Best World Live-act. In 2019 he was nominated for best world album and best artist at the Danish Music Awards. Bjonko has collaborated with many great international artists, and is known for working with different genres such as pop, rock and hip-hop.
