Born and raised in Deer Park, Texas, McKenna Parr provides a unique combination of pop, soft rock and r&b. She spent the majority of her childhood putting on pretend concerts for her family and friends, singing with her church choir and praise band, getting frustrated when people talked while a good song was on, and being her singer/songwriter father's biggest fan. Parr’s life took an unexpected turn the summer of 2017 due to her father's abrupt passing. With one year of college left, music was put on the back-burner. To this day, Parr cites events from her senior year of college in her lyrics. Following graduation, McKenna accepted a full-time position in PR and began to feel a tremendous music void. She crossed paths with a vocal coach out of Spring, Texas from whom she has received several writing and performance opportunities to date. Since then, McKenna has been hard at work completing unfinished projects from over the years and working toward sharing her music with the world. McKenna currently resides in Houston where she writes music and sings regularly. Her sound has been influenced by everything from soft pop, to country, to punk rock, to r&b/soul.
