Biography

Maviş started her music career in 1994 with the band Agıré Jiyan in Istanbul and released her first solo album, Keje, in 1998. In 2000, the artist went abroad and after living in Brussels and Paris, she settled in Berlin in 2002. In 2004, Maviş Güneşer gave birth to her daughter Rewcan and continued to work on music with the brothers Metin & Kemal Kahraman and Lilith Band. She sang vocals on Metin & Kemal Kahraman's albums Meyman, Çeveré Hazaru, which is about Dersim Alevi literature, Saé Moru, the king of tales and Oğul. She has performed with the duo in concerts and festivals in many cities in Europe and Turkey. Lilith Band compiled and performed women's songs. She composed and sang music for director Binevsa Berivan's films La Mélodie du Petit Cháteau, Ciao Bella Bruxelles, Gardiens and director Tülin Dağ's documentary film Bir Adım Ötesi about women prisoners who spent 10 years in Bayrampaşa Prison. In March 2019, Maviş Güneşer released her second solo album Ax de Vaji, a documentary work reading the last 100 years of Dersim's political history through laments. Maviş Güneşer, who is currently presenting her third solo album titled Dılgran to her listeners, is releasing her new love-themed songs in Zazaki / Kirmançki language, which are mostly her own, as singles on all digital platforms.
