Making early waves as a 17 yr old party promoter in Memphis his interaction with the radio stations were inevitable. The Djs from his parties became the On Air personalities in Memphis urban radio. At 19 Ian delivered the Memphis classic 'Walk it Like A Dog" earning a space on the Billboard Chart. The track was produced by Three Six Mafia's Dj Paul and Dj Jusborne. The track featuring DJ Paul was made possible by a call from the infamous "Craig Petties" as Paul and Craig are brothers. Mista Ian's independent music journey would soon lead him to produce and write for another local burgeoning star Yo Gotti. Co Writing and producing tracks like "Toss That Bitch" & "Sell My Dope". Ian next teamed up with 8 Ball & MJG bringing in the likes of Too Short to top off one of the greatest pimp records in dirty south history "Pimpology". Another Ian & Gotti tag team would happen again in 2015 with "Young Bitch Tatted". In 2020 Ian released his first studio album in years with "North Memphis Imperial". A full body work where he in his own words "got a chance to go back in and make the mistakes". The followup single to this album ended up being a track called "Priceless Vibes". You can hear the progression in this track. In 2022 Mista Ian was awarded a Gold Plaque for his production on Money Bagg Yo's "Time Served" Album. His latest installment fine tunes 2 decades of professional music making from a Memphis born star.
