SeizoensKlanken (Belgium) is a electronic music trio consisting of Gilles Helsen (keys), Freek Vreys (guitar) and Cas Kinnaer (percussion). Bringing together elements of jazz-rock, hip-hop and afrobeat, SeizoensKlanken creates a fresh, hybrid sound that appeals both to the body and the mind. Think of Nicolas Jaar, Kaytranada, STUFF. & Badbadnotgood. In 2015 they released a first EP, ‘Metropool’, blending groovy fusion jazz and minimalist electronics. For this album, they were selected as ’Talent of the Year 2015’ by Cutting Edge. The track ‘Arts/Loi’ was remixed by 5 Belgian producers (Title, FRIS and others) resulting in another EP called ’KUNST/WET’ (2016). In 2017, SeizoensKlanken released their first full album ‘DagxNacht’. The single ‘NxCHT’ was played on Studio Brussel, that compared the trio with STUFF. and BADBADNOTGOOD. As a live band, SeizoensKlanken combines electronic grooves with live jazzy improvisations, playing major venues such as Het Depot, VK & TRIX and festivals like Boomtown, Absolutely Free Festival, Booty Rave & Mekitburn. They did the support acts for Jaga Jazzist, Compact Disk Dummies and Delv!s. In 2017, SeizoensKlanken opened the new concert hall Nosta together with Dans Dans & Schntzl. For their upcoming release ‘IV Movements’ (2018), jazz-percussionist Cas Kinnaer joined the band. Next to this, SeizoensKlanken will develop a project together with choreographer Evelyne Van Hecke and her collective Moving Ground.
