My name is David Raymond, I fell to Earth 400 years ago and have since changed my name to Raymond and the Lost. I don't understand you humans very much, so I started writing songs about my visit to this strange planet. I am a student/zero-hour childcare worker. My time is split equally between Bristol, Bournemouth and Oslo. Musically I'm a sweet spot between the the Flaming lips, Wolf Alice and Elliott Smith. Like most of us, I've struggled with depression/anxiety most my life. Songwriting is how I understand the world. It's like keeping a journal. When lockdown happened I had 2 choices. Continue my world domination on Football Manager. Or use that time to record a taut, bombastic album about the weirdness of humans and hope for the future. 'Understanding' (album title) was written/recorded in my boyhood room, (about time I did something productive in there!) Once Understanding is complete I shall return to my mother planet.
