Born as Moses Onyedikachi Izuchukwu on March 2, 1990 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Innocent Izuchukwu, from Afikpo North in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The afrobeat artist was born and raised in the Heartland City of Owerri, the capital of Imo State in Eastern Nigeria. Kozy G initially started as a footballer (soccer) and was doing well before quitting for others jobs to keep life going. His love for music made him join the choir of his church where he exhibited his God given talent. His friends named him Kozy General which prompted the change of name to Kozy G. Kozy G is born 4th child to an average Nigerian family of 6 siblings. He has had the backing of his family to do music since he was a child and is well known for a thrilling performances on stage. In 2013 he released his official debut track “Shiver”, and has since then registered his name in the music industry with other collaborations. In 2023 while putting the final touches on his hit single “Money Money”, Kozy G signed with Negron World; an international record label based out of Seattle Washington in the United States founded and managed by musician & promoter Toño Negron; he continues to make high level afrobeat music alongside his manager and friend Toño Negron. Some notable collaborative tunes of theirs are “Nigeria to Colombia (Thumbs Up)”, “Still On The Matter”, “Turn by Turn” etc.
