Delivering high energy, competitive word play, and clever flows, Nødda (Vance Jones) is a rapper and songwriter based in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Gatesville, Texas, a small prison town holding the killer of Selena Quentanilla, Vance grew up surrounded by country music. It was when he was 8 when he heard his father playing “Hate It Or Love It” by 50 Cent that Vance would be drawn into the rap and the hip hop genre. However, it was not until his senior year of high school that he and his classmates would release a gaggle of songs, including everyone's favorite “Converse”, that would grab the attention of classmates in their school with Vance going under the name “ColorBlokKid”. With only a few songs on his Soundcloud page Vance decided to pursue his music interests on his own, living in Stephenville, Texas for a year where he would release his first all platform track “Night Shift” and eventually move to the Texas capital. Seizing a job at Nice Kicks soon after, his co-workers discovered his music which ended up being regularly played inside the store itself. Vance is currently attending ACC where he is receiving guidance from professionals like Heather Wagner Reed, the former Senior Product Manager for 28-time GRAMMY®-winning artist Beyoncé. With professional guidance and announcing his progression on his first EP “Hometown Hero”, the humble rapper is sure to turn heads and continue to grow as one of Austin's own independent hip hop artists.
