Tapper was born on November 21st in Bronx, NY. Growing up around mainly Reggae and Dancehall classics, Tapper discovered his love for Rap and R&B at the age of 12, with his biggest influences being Drake, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Lupe Fiasco. Discovering this passion led him to almost obsessively honing his craft as a Songwriter, Artist, and Engineer over the next 8+ years. From his rough potential filled DatPiff releases at 13, to the release of his 1st Album at 18 on SoundCloud titled “Temples”, Tapper has shown and proven his dedication and love for music. By his current age of 24, Tapper has worked with plenty of established artists as well. Working with JADEN's group MSFTSrep on a collaboration album, new internet star Curtis Waters, Fossa Beats from Diplo's Mad Decent, and also having a release on DJ Tiesto's Musical Freedom label. His time spent living back and forth between Montréal and his current home of Connecticut for the past 5 years, summers spent in Jamaica, and having friends across the globe, has not only fueled his passion for language and learning new ones, but has also inspired him to become a multi-faceted artist in his own right. Producing his own beats, learning Guitar and Piano, and diving into making Alternative music as well. Tapper is excited for where his future is headed, and gladly welcomes you along for the journey. Honesty, vulnerability, and expressing real emotions is where his music sets itself apart, regardless of genre.
