Pacific Northwest metallers Hissing emerged in 2014 with an expansive and punishing style rooted in traditional black and death metal. Based out of Seattle and featuring core members Zach Wise (bass/vocals), Joe O’Malley (guitar), and Sam Pickel (drums), Hissing initiated its exploration of the outer reaches of black metal with the release of 2018's Profound Lore-issued Permanent Destitution.
