Mark Starr is a Bay Area based, Florida raised DJ and producer who’s been honing his craft for over a decade. Frist discovered by Canada’s tastemaker MC Flipside, Mark quickly emerged from the underground in 2013 after gaining the recognition of Claude Vonstroke and the DIRTYBIRD crew. After hearing Mark’s tracks in heavy rotation, Claude reached out directly: “send me anything like these tracks and I’ll sign them on the spot!”. In 2013, Mark would become the first East Coast member of the label, releasing his seminal track “Rood Boy” Fast forward a decade later, Mark has continued to develop his signature production style, garnering support from some of the most distinguished tastemakers across the world including Skrillex, Boys Noize, James Zabiela, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Claude Vonstroke, Maya Jane Coles, Christian Martin, Justin Martin, and more. In addition to releases on DIRTYBIRD, Mark’s original productions and remixes have appeared on Skrillex’s label OWSLA, Shadow Child’s Food Music, Perfect Driver Music, CHP Recordings. Over the airwaves, Mark’s music has been included in coveted BBC Radio 1 Essential mixes, Boiler Room performances, and even earned him a seat for a guest mix and interview with Shadow Child on his Rinse.FM radio show.
